Tony Garrett, chairman of the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea, welcomed the event, which resumed in three years, saying, "This year will be a wonderful year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Korea-New Zealand diplomatic relations."
New Zealand is Korea's largest wine exporter, with exports to Korea reaching US$15 million in 2021. Korea's total wine imports have more than doubled in the past three years and reached a record high in 2021. Both white and red wine from New Zealand are steadily gaining popularity in the Korean market.
Meanwhile, Jang Hyun-woo, coordinator of the Australian New Zealand Association, attended the event as a Wine Volunteer and explained New Zealand's wine and region to the participants.
